Patterns projects: Cardboard Circles with Realistic & Abstract Patterns & Radial Rocks

INSTRUCTIONS

• PAINT LARGE ROCK WITH GESSO.
• ADD A RADIAL DESIGN IN PENCIL.
•  GO OVER LINES WITH BLACK SHARPIE.
• COLOR WITH COLOR SHARPIES.

REQUIREMENTS:

• PAINTED WHITE (GESSO)
• DESIGN IN PENCIL THEN GONE OVER WITH SHARPIE.
• RADIAL DESIGN
• AT LEAST 8 LAYERS OF RADIAL DESIGN.
• SOMETHING REAL IN THE DESIGN FOR EXTRA CREDIT. (INITIALS, FACE, FROG...)
• UPLOAD TO ARTSONIA.

Heart Art Cards with Watercolor Pencils & Watercolor Crayons

DAY 1: Draw hearts on the watercolor card & envelope in pencil.
DAY 2: Paint with watercolor pencils & watercolor crayons.
DAY 3: Give your card to someone very special!!!

Paper doll of a person that has died. Can be:

• famous
• someone you know
• someone from history

• Make a paper doll out of cardboard. 
• Use the plastic stencil to draw a body
• Use features of the person. Draw the face or print and glue the face or use a skull.
• Cut out cloth for clothes and glue on cardboard.
• Make a stand so doll stands  up

DAY OF THE DEAD TRAY

• Decide on who. It needs to be someone who has died. It can be someone you know or it can be a famous person, a president, a wrapper or an artist…

• Fill out the worksheet about the person.

• Cut out the skeleton and skull and glue to tray. Think of what position to put the skeleton. Glue the skull on the back of the tray.

• Go on the computer and get pictures about the person's things. Copy and paste on a Word document. One page. Print

• Cut out the pictures and arrange them on the tray..

• Cut out the clothes and glue on.

• Use the metal to cut small strips or triangles like a mosaic.

• Paint only one color. The favorite color of your person.  Leave the rest black and white like a newspaper. Only color is the clothes and the metal mosaic pieces.

• Write their name somewhere. You can have some writing about them if you want.
  

• Skull on the back of the tray should be filled with patterns, colors and lines.
