Welcome to 2019/2020 school year. Should be very exciting and productive year. Please watch the video introducing myself, my family, my summer and what projects I hope to do this year.

Taking time the first day of school to look at the art room windows.
I ask students at the end of the video to look at the windows and find the white unicorns hidden in them. There are about 30 unicorns in these windows that took 8 years to make. Each vertical row has a theme: American art, Latino art, African art, Egyptian art, Asian art, Indian art and art history.

Botanical Illustration: Hybrid Horticulture Smash Drawing of 2 Different Plants

INSTRUCTIONS Consider the characteristics of two existing plants and use them to create your own
plant hybrid, mash-up with new qualities. You can use any plant you can think of. Explain its properties.

STEAM: Art & Math: Tessellation's

• Creating tessellation's in your sketchbook with a tessellation ruler. 
• Pick a shape and fill a page of your sketchbook with that shape. No space in beween the shapes (like puzzle pieces). 
• Design one of the shapes and put the exact design on the rest of the shapes.
• Color the shape and color each shape exactly alike.
• The more colors, the more elaborate the pattern you create will be.😁
